Over the next 40 hours, we’ll be bringing you a closer look at some of the adult hockey teams playing in our charity tournament.
And since we’ve already introduced our special guests, the Borealis Blades (and players for Stimulus Puckage) from Alaska, we are thrilled to say that Colorado Springs adult hockey is being represented this year like nothing we ever imagined.
With more than four teams coming from the area, including players from the Arkansas Valley Lumbajax, the Altitude Sickness and Miner Threat teams, one team that is quickly trying to become THE team to reckon with is Springs Fever.
Co-captained by Scott Berry and Esther Ahn, this co-ed team in the E-Division is sure to wreak havoc in battle against three returning teams; Miner Threat, Altitude Sickness and Team Hellfish! Yep, three of the four E-Division teams are from the Springs, meaning there’s going to be some downright intense games starting Friday night at Big Bear.
Springs Fever is sponsored and supported by SDB Associates, a company that provides consulting and integration services to a niche market of engine test laboratories and other facilities. Some clients in the Denver area are Envirotest / ESP (the folks who run the emissions inspection facilities), Wagner Caterpillar, Transwest Trucks and others.
The Donation Station is down for the remainder of the 2009 year but will open again in January, 2010!
